As well as being awarded Secured by Design (SBD) status, the Excel has also been independently tested by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB). The LPCB tested the SeceuroGlide Excel in a series of timed attacks, replicating methods often used by burglars. The Excel was the first roller garage doors to pass the test, and achieved the higher security rating level; LPS1175 SR1.
However, don’t be fooled into thinking robust security means a compromise on SeceuroGlide’s good looks. The unique design of the Excel cleverly hides all the security-enhancing features within the mechanics of the door, meaning your door will be as stylish as it is secure.

Galvanised steel end plates on the SeceuroGlide Original & Excel provide a sturdier design and increased security when compared with aluminium end plates.
100 mm fluted axle, extruded aluminium hinges and top rail, provide greater strength when the door is in operation and in the locked position.
Both the Original and the Excel come with auto locking as standard for greater security, preventing the door from being lifted by an intruder. Centralised locking blocks ensure better running of the door during operation.
Webbing on each side of the curtain provides additional security whilst also reducing the noise made by the curtain for smooth, ultra-quiet operation.
The SeceuroGlide Excel boasts Secured by Design and insurance approved Level One Security Rating for internal face and reveal fixtures.

The SeceuroGlide Excel uses the advanced design of the Original but has also been awarded the LPS1175 burglary resistance standard following independent testing by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB). A unique, reinforced design that includes an innovative locking bottom slat enabled it to become the first garage door of any kind to successfully complete independent testing which is recognised on a national level.
