Warranty Terms


Certificate of Guarantee

  1. The following guarantees apply to SeceuroGlide Roller products, subject to correct installation, maintenance and operation:
    1. SeceuroGlide Excel, SeceuroGlide Original, SeceuroGlide LT, SeceuroGlide Compact and SeceuroGlide Manual are guaranteed against defect of material or workmanship by SWS UK with a parts only warranty for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase.
    2. SeceuroGlide Vertico is guaranteed against defect of material or workmanship by SWS UK with a parts only warranty for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase.
    3. When purchased together, the SeceuroDrive motor and SeceuroSense control unit carry a 7-year warranty, subject to registration within 3 months of installation at https://warranty.seceuroglide.co.uk (excluding SeceuroGlide LT). When purchased together, the Somfy motor and Rollixo control unit carry a 7-year warranty, subject to registration within 3 months of installation at https://warranty.seceuroglide.co.uk (exclucing SeceuroGlide LT). The Somfy motor is guaranteed for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase.
    4. Foiled woodgrain finishes are guaranteed on the slat finish only for a period of 10 years from the date of purchase.
  2. All SeceuroGlide Sectional products are guaranteed against defect of material or workmanship by SWS UK with a parts only warranty, subject to correct installation, maintenance and operation. Un-painted panels carry a 10 year warranty from the date of purchase. Painted panels, hardware and Black Edition operators carry a 5 year warranty from the date of purchase.
    1. The SeceuroGlide Sectional guarantee is reduced under the following conditions:
      1. Warranty is reduced to 5 years for products installed within 2 miles of the sea;
      2. Warranty is reduced to 2 years for products installed less than 0.5 miles from the sea.
  3. This guarantee is in addition to your legal rights in addition to SWS UK products that may be faulty or not as described. Advice about your legal rights is available from your local Citizens’ Advice Bureau or Trading Standards Office.
  4. The following terms apply to all SeceuroGlide Roller products purchased for installation in the UK. The terms shall prevail or be in addition to any agreement between you, the customer, the installer and/or SWS UK.SWS UK will replace any components of our products sold as SeceuroGlide Roller Garage Doors (‘the Product’) where the manufacturing process has resulted in a defect occurring during the period the relevant period specified in clause 1, subject to the exceptions and conditions set out in the Conditions of Guarantee below.

Conditions of Guarantee

  1. Any claim under the guarantee must be made by the customer or the installer. Claims must be made to Customer Services at SWS UK, Hornby Road, Claughton, Lancaster, LA2 9LA or by email to customer.services@swsuk.co.uk quoting the date of installation and the name of the installer.
  2. The Product must have been installed by a SWS UK approved installer or by SWS UK itself.
  3. This guarantee does not cover defects which are the result of:
    1. incorrect installation, not following SWS UK’s instructions;
    2. incorrect or lack of proper maintenance of the Product in accordance with SWS UK’s maintenance manual;
    3. incorrect operation of the Product;
    4. any modifications made to the Product made by anyone other than SWS UK;
    5. normal wear and tear;
    6. accidental or malicious damage;
    7. impact damage or scratches, dents, scuffs or other minor abrasions;
    8. use or attempted use of non-SWS UK spare parts;
    9. repairs or attempts at repairs undertaken by any person other than someone specifically authorised by SWS UK;
    10. any failure of masonry or other structures on to which the Product has been fixed.
  4. This guarantee excludes damage, rust or corrosion caused by exposure to saltwater or salty air for products installed within 2 miles of the sea or a large body of saltwater.
  5. This guarantee excludes cover for any consumables such as fuses, light bulbs or batteries.
  6. The maximum amount for which SWS UK will be liable under the terms of this Guarantee is the original cost of the installation of the product paid by the Customer.
  7. SWS UK shall in no circumstances be liable for indirect, special or consequential loss or damage howsoever caused, including (but not limited to):
    1. remedial work costs
    2. call-out fees
    3. tool and plant hire
    4. transport costs
  8. Any spare or replacement parts supplied by SWS UK shall become part of the Product and any part or component removed shall become the property of SWS UK.
  9. SWS UK may use its appointed agent to inspect the Product and/or to conduct any repair or replacement as it thinks fit.
